Lynn Swanson, J.D. ’93, New Orleans, La., was named to New Orleans CityBusiness’ “Women of the Year 2012” list.

Sidney Raymond '93, Dr. Sidney Raymond ’93 (biology) was named president of the Jefferson Parish Medical Society.

Brad D. Mazerolle, M.B.A ’93, MAI, SRA, FRICS, Real Estate and Technical Services, Midfirst Bank, Phoenix, Az., was conferred a Fellowship with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS). RICS, founded in London, England, in 1868, provides the world’s leading professional qualification for the land, property, and construction industry. Fellowship in RICS is a mark of distinction which is awarded to those who are leaders in their field—people who have undertaken notable projects or made a special contribution to the profession.

D’Juan Hernandez, J.D. ’93, joined Chaffe McCall’s New Orleans, La., office as a partner in Chaffe’s business practice group. Most recently, he launched Sun Energy, a company founded to help transform household waste into usable energy.

Clancy DuBos III, J.D. ’93, New Orleans, La., was named to Family Service of Greater New Orleans’ list of the city’s most outstanding individuals who gave of their time to support local, nonprofit causes during the past year.

Nadia de la Houssaye, J.D. ’93, Nadia de la Houssaye, J.D. ’93, was appointed to the board of directors of the Federal Bar Association Lafayette/Acadiana Chapter. She works in Jones Walker’s Lafayette office in the Business & Commercial Litigation Practice Group.

Amy Clement ’93 (violin), M.M.E. ’96, Lawrenceville, Ga., a music teacher at North Gwinnett Middle, was named the Georgia Music Educators Association (GMEA) Volunteer of the Year for “going above and beyond as a professional in the field of music education.” An orchestra teacher since 1997, Amy is currently in her fourth year as a one of the orchestra directors at North Gwinnett Middle School. In addition to her teaching duties, she serves as co-sponsor of the school’s Tri-M honors society, which recognizes students for musical talent and academic achievement.

Jeff Brooks, J.D. ’93, Adams and Reese’s Washington, D.C., office partner in charge, was appointed to the firm’s Executive Committee, which oversees the strategic operations of the firm and its 14 offices in 13 markets strategically located throughout the southern U.S. and Washington, D.C.

Jeffrey M. Baudier, J.D. ’93, joined the Baton Rouge, La., office of Phelps Dunbar, L.L.P., as a partner, where his practice will focus on serving clients in the oil, gas, and energy industries. Most recently, he was president and CEO of Petra Nova, L.L.C., an NRG company, where he led the creation of an industry-leading joint venture that uses carbon dioxide captured from existing coal plants to revitalize production at mature oil fields in Texas and Louisiana through proven Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) processes.

J. Keith Short, M.B.A. ’92, was hired by Investar Bank to launch its new Lafayette, La., market as regional president and to lead its new private banking division throughout Investar’s franchise. Keith joined Investar from Iberiabank, where he served as president of the bank’s Naples, Fort Myers, and Keys markets in Florida. Prior to establishing those markets, he introduced Iberia to the Baton Rouge region and, as Baton Rouge president, grew it from a single temporary branch to a successful multi-branch franchise. While working for Iberia in Lafayette, he also was chosen to reposition the bank from its traditional savings and loan structure to a commercial bank franchise. His 24-year banking career also includes leadership roles at Bank One, now Chase, and Hibernia National Bank, now Capital One Bank.

Daniel Moure ’92 (communication), was appointed CMO for PureFormulas.com, an online health supplement e-retailer. Prior to joining PureFormulas, Daniel spent the last decade at Univision Communications as VP of account management and interactive strategies, where he led the development of a multitude of award-winning interactive strategies, from concept to completion, for some of the biggest advertisers in the space. He lives in South Miami, Fla., with his wife and two sons.

Ben Marmande, M.B.A. ’92, Baton Rouge, La., serves as executive vice president and senior credit officer for IberiaBank.

Laurie Young, J.D. ’91, New Orleans, La., partner with Adams and Reese, was named among the “Women of the Year” by New Orleans CityBusiness, which in its 14th year, is recognizing 50 women who have helped move the region forward with energy, innovative ideas, achievements, and a commitment to excellence.

Shawn M. Donnelley ’91 (communication), Chicago, Ill., president of Strategic Giving and past chairman of the Goodman Theatre, was named a Life Trustee of the Goodman, the highest honor bestowed for extraordinary dedication to the Goodman and visionary leadership in Chicago’s artistic, philanthropic, and corporate communities. When Shawn was elected chairman in 2007, she became the youngest trustee ever selected to lead the board of the Goodman—and one of the youngest chairmen of a major arts organization in the city.

Nicki M. Candies, M.B.A. ’91, New Orleans, La., was chosen as a 2012 Volunteer Activist by the St. Elizabeth’s Guild.

The Men and Women of Fashion designation honors those who exemplify unique personal style as well as excellence through business, civic, and charitable endeavors that improve the communities in which they live.

Mark Shaw, J.D. ’90, Coppell, Texas, currently Southwest Airlines’ Associate General Counsel of Corporate & Transactions, will become Vice President and General Counsel on Feb. 1, 2013.
